On June 24, 1901, Pablo Picasso opened an art gallery in Paris which happened to his first major exhibition. The Spaniard was relatively unknown outside of Spain at that time showcased 75 works of his. The 20-year old’s artworks were appreciated by the Paris critics and as it turned out, Picasso chose Paris as his abode and was instrumental in starting Cubist movement along with Georges Braque.
