After having abdicated his throne, Napolean I was sent to Elba island. In 1815, he escaped from the exile island, he returned to Paris and reclaimed his title of Napolean I. This period was known as ‘Hundred Days’ and his stay at the helm was cut short due to the loss at the Battle of Waterloo. This time around, he was sent to Saint Helena, where he remained until his death in 1821.
