The term ‘Eucatastrophe’ refers to the sudden events that take place at the end of the story in such a way that the protagonist doesn’t meet with any terrible fate. In other words, it is called a ‘happy ending’. The word was coined by the English writer J.R.R. Tolkien. The word comes from the Greek terms ‘eu’ (good) and catastrophe (a sudden end or reversal of what is expected).
