The chronicles of the futuristic family, Jetsons premiered during the 1962-63 season on ABC-TV, thereby becoming the first programme ever to be broadcast in colour on ABC-TV. It initially ran for 24 episodes and was revived in the 80’s before coming to a close in 1987. Growing up, I was amazed with the Jetsons’ flying car, which was inspired by a 1954 Ford concept car, the FX-Atmos.
