Trans-Siberian Railway, the world’s longest railway line (approximately 9,280 km) in the world – the project began in 1891 and for this grand undertaking Tsar Alexander III and his son Tsar Nicholas II appointed several Russian government ministers to supervise the project. After 25 years, the railway line was completed in 1916, a year before Tsar Nicolas II was forcibly adicated.
