At the 1980 Moscow Olympics men’s coxless pair event, Bernd Landvoigt and Jörg Landvoigt took the gold medal representing East Germany. The duo were identical twins. The silver medalists, Soviet Union’s Nikolay Pimenov and Yuriy Pimenov, incidentally also happened to be identical twins.
