Dizzy Dishes was a 1930 cartoon that was produced by Fleischer Studios. In the cartoon, a side character by the name of Betty Boop was introduced for the first time. Initially, Betty Boop appeared in movies which were aimed at adults before the Hays Code came into effect in 1934. The code prompted the creators to give Betty Boop a wardrobe makeover and is seen as one of the reasons for the character to be popular worldwide.
