‘Pulp’ magazines were popular during the mid-20th century and were known for their graphic violence and punchy dialogue – in order to attract mass viewership. The movie ‘Pulp Fiction’ has the storyline that mirrors a lot of ‘Pulp’ magazine themes, hence the name!
