Amy Johnson, a famous British pilot became famous for her exploits of flying solo from Great Britain to Australia, the first female aviator to do so. A year prior to the this solo flight, Amy Johnson had become world’s first female to receive a ground engineer’s license (C), that allowed her to inspect the aircraft before flight.
