In Mongolian language, the Lake Baikal is referred to as (Baygal nuur) meaning ‘the Nature Lake”. Along with being world’s deepest lake, Lake Baikal is also considered to be one of the oldest and largest fresh water lake (volume). UNESCO made this lake a heritage site in 1996 and is located in the Siberian region.
