The Tea Set, that’s the name which two bands chose when they turned up for a gig in the 1960’s. Syd Barrett was quick to realise this and he chose a new name, named after two blues musicians that he liked: Pink Anderson and Floyd Council. And, that’s how the name Pink Floyd came about.
