Worms is a city located at south-western part of Germany. The word Diet of Worms became popular in the 16th century when Martin Luther was asked to appear in front of a political assembly (Diet) to respond to the charges of heresy and his proposal of Protestant Reformation. The Holy Roman Emperor Charles V who presided the Diet, termed Luther as an outlaw.
