The word “coffee” comes from the Arabic word ‘qahwah’ for “wine of the bean”. In Ethiopia, there is a region called ‘Kaffa’ where the plant is grown. It is known as ‘buno’ in those regions and Arabic had its own word bunn for ‘raw coffee’. Since 16th century onwards, the popularity of coffee reached to different parts of the world.
