FACT FOOD #662

In fitness studios, gyms and at few homes, you might have noticed an inflated rubber hemisphere attached to a solid platform. It is called ‘BOSU’ balance trainer. The name refers to how the training device looks – “Both Sides Up”. It was invented in 1999 by David Weck, and since then it has been preferred by many people including athletes as a form of exercise to increase the balance of our body. While you are at it, I heard a trainer remark – BOSU is “Both Sides Utilised”. Take your pick.
