FACT FOOD #605

Fidel Castro, the ex-president of Cuba was once invited to give a speech at the United Nations. At the 872nd plenary meeting of the General Assembly, Fidel Castro delivered the longest timed speech (till date) on 26 September 1960 for 269 minutes. With rules being amended over the length of statements, it is highly unlikely anyone to surpass Fidel Castro’s time of four hours and 29 minutes.
