Sir James Paul McCartney, the legendary English song-writer and composer was famously known for being one of the Beatles. He was married to an American musician and photographer Linda Eastman with whom he formed a new band in 1971 along with Denny Laine. The name of the band ‘Wings’ was inspired by his experiences of their second daughter’s traumatic birth during which Paul sat outside the operating room and prayed that she be born “on the wings of an angel.”
