The above bulletproof vest was the invention of W.H. Murphy working for the Protective Garment of New York. The above photo was taken during a demonstration for Washington DC-area police. The demonstration took place with a S&W Model 10 Revolver and Murphy stood less than 10 feet from the firing gun. The vest weighed around 5 kg and the above trial was successful.
