Robin is a fictional character created by Bob Kane, Bill Finger and Jerry Robinson for DC Comics. His original name was Dick Grayson and he debuted in April 1940 as a sidekick for Batman. The name ‘Robin’ and his medieval costume were inspired by the Adventures of Robin Hood.
