Sahyadri Hills (also known as the Western Ghats) is the name given to the mountain range which runs parallel to the western coastal area of Arabian Sea. Recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, the range stretches from the border of Gujarat and Maharashtra until the tip of South at Kanyakumari in TamilNadu passing through the states of Goa, Karnataka and Kerala.
