In our solar system, out of the eight classified planets, only Earth is not named after any God. Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune are also the name of Gods in Roman mythology. The name ‘Earth’ gets its modern name from the Germanic term ‘Erde’.
