Gostilna Kalin, a restaurant in Obrežje, Slovenia is among world’s unique restaurants. It is situated directly on the Slovenian-Crotian border and the dining room inside the restaurant is found on either side of the border. A yellow line drawn up the owner demarcates both the Schengen countries. The restaurant is owned by Saša Kalin, who is half Croatian (mother’s side) and Slovenian (father’s side). Since 2013, there has been less problems since Croatia joined European Union.
