Ontario Lacus, the largest lake on Saturn’s moon Titan was named in the honour of Lake Ontario. Lake Ontario, one of the five great lakes lend its name to the Canadian province ‘Ontario’. Ontario Lacus is mainly composed of hydrocarbons such as methane, ethane and propane. The dimensions of the lake 234 km long by 73 km wide is similar to the size of Lake Ontario, and hence the name.
