Created by Pete Carl Fabergé, a Russian jeweller of French and Danish descent, Fabergé eggs (his idea) became an annual tradition during Easter when Tsar Alexander III surprised his wife, the Empress Marie Fedorovna. It all started with a Hen Egg and the tradition continued even after the demise of Alexander III. His son Tsar Nicholas II carried on with the tradition until 1915 when the Russian revolution broke out which resulted in the murder of Tsar’s family. Read more about it here – http://bit.ly/1U6wAuF
