Pablo Picasso apart from his expertise on paintings came up with an idea ‘Chouette de Femme’ (Wood Owl Woman) in pottery in 1951. Only 500 vases were created under the supervision of Picasso. The owl shape was one of Picasso’s favourite form which he worked on several occasions. On all the pots, Edition Picasso Madoura plein feu is stamped on the base of these limited edition of 500 vases.
