Cules, the name of the Barcelona’s supporters literally means “Those known for their arses”. The origin of this name dates back to the time of their first stadium ‘Carrer de la Industria’. In that stadium, the first seating was in a part of the stadium where the back wall was made up of horizontal iron girders; so that, the people walking outside when looked up, all they could see was row upon row of bums. Hence the name, which has stuck to this day.
