Ad blocker, Brexit, Dark web, lumbersexual, on fleek, refugee, sharing economy, they (singular, pronoun) were some of the actual words that were snubbed by the Oxford Dictionary and named ’emoji’ instead as the word of the year for 2015. Ironically, emoji is not even a word.
