In a small town of Deshnok, which is about 30 kms from Bikaner, Rajasthan, there is a temple dedicated to Goddess Karni, who is an incarnation of Goddess Durga. This temple is also popularly known as ‘rat temple’. There are many folklores that points towards the huge population of rats in the temple. The holy rats are called ‘kabbas’ and there are more than 20,000 of these present in the temple.
