Esther Victoria Abraham more popularly known by her screen name Pramila happens to be the first Miss India pageant winner in 1947. She came from a family of Arabic-speaking Jews (Baghdadi) and in 18th century, these group of people immigrated to India. Her daughter Naqi Jahan was Miss India 1967 making them the only mother-daughter pair till date to win the title.
