Khirer Putul (Condensed Milk Doll) is a children’s fantasy novel written by Abanindranath Tagore, nephew of Rabindranath Tagore. Published in 1896, it is considered as a masterpiece in Bengali language children’s literature. The original story of the novel was written by Mrinalini Devi, wife of Rabindranath Tagore’s and Abanindranath found the diary after Devi’s death. This novel has been translated into French as La poupe’s de Fromage and in Swedish as Ostdockan.
