The original trailer for the 1953 Hollywood movie “Mogambo” explains that “Mogambo” means “the Greatest,” in fact, the word “Mogambo” has no meaning at all. The movie’s producer Sam Zimbalist came up with the title by altering the name of a famous Hollywood nightclub ‘Mocambo’. In India, the name “Mogambo” is popular courtesy of the character played by Amrish Puri in the 1987 movie Mr. India.
