Water Lilies – a series of over two hundred oil paintings by the French painter Claude Monet (1840-1926), depicts his flower garden at his home in Giverny, France. This series was his effort in the final 30 years of his life after he purchased additional land that had a water meadow, lily ponds which became the subjects of Water Lilies series.
