Iron Maiden, the English heavy metal band formed in 1975 is one of the few bands to have a mascot, Eddie, on the cover of their every single album. The band got their name after a medieval instrument of torture where a person was placed into a chamber containing sharp objects and death was caused due to blood loss while standing.
