Peeping Tom – there are many definitions to this term and can be generalised to the word ‘stalking’. This term was popularised from a legendary story of the tailor ‘Tom’ who happened to be the only person in town to watch Lady Godiva ride a horse naked (protesting against her own husband’s proposal to raise taxes). This, inspite of being warned not to watch. Thus, anyone who derives pleasure from secretly watching others is termed as ‘Peeping Tom’.
