Kedgeree is a dish which consists of boiled rice, parsley, hard-boiled eggs, butter and curry powder. This is popular among the British mainly in the United Kingdom and was introducted to the UK during the Victorian era by the returning British colonials. To this day, it remains a popular ‘breakfast’ item. This dish gets its name from the Indian dish ‘khichari’ – a name applied to the variety of rice and legume dishes with seasoning.
