The term ‘Apartment’ has its origins from the Italian language ‘appartimento’ which means “a separated place” which came from the Latin word ‘partem’ (part). In 16th century, French used the term ‘appartement’ through which the English word ‘apartment’ came about and originally meant private rooms for the use of one person within a house.
