The popular Indian comic book character ‘Chacha Chaudhary’ was created by the Indian cartoonist Pran Kumar Sharma. He made his first appearance in 1971 in the Hindi magazine ‘Lotpot’. Apart from Chacha Chaudhary, the recurring/supporting characters from the comic book are – Sabu (an alien from the planet Jupiter), Bini (Chacha’s wife), Chhajju Chaudhary (Chacha’s twin brother) and Rocket (his pet dog).
