Klingon is a language constructed specifically for the fictional Klingons in the Star Trek universe. This was regulated by Marc Okrand through his book ‘The Klingon Dictionary’ in 1984. The language was heard on screen for the first time in the 1979 movie Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
