| Tycho and Kepler’s statue in Prague |
At Prague, the Imperial Mathematician to Rudolph II, Tycho Brahe hired an assistant, Johannes Kepler to calculate planetary orbits from his observations. After Tycho’s death, the assistant published the Tabulae Rudolphina in 1627. Because of Tycho’s accurate observations and the Kepler’s elliptical astronomy, these tables were much more accurate than any previous tables.
