The 1954 movie ‘Rear Window’ directed by Alfred Hitchcock starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly was based on Cornell Woolrich’s story “It had to be Murder”. It was later re-made in 1998 with the same name and had Christopher Reeve and Darryl Hannah playing the lead roles.
